Our aim is to ensure that young people are supported on and off the pitch with a holistic and person (not just player) centred approach.

We know the many challenges that young people face whilst navigating their journey in the academy system – we have witnessed it first-hand!

We believe that more support is needed during the pre-scholarship and scholarship years when so many factors come into play (physical, social and psychological). Whether that’s from increased pressures on the pitch, leaving home for the first time, changing clubs or changing friendship groups.

We also believe that everyone involved in the young person’s journey should be informed and empowered to support them.

our mission

My Football Mind is an independent consultancy using first hand knowledge and experiences of the elite academy football system, to provide a reliable resource of advice and support to PARENTS, ACADEMY PLAYERS and their FAMILIES, if and when they need it.

Our aim is to provide a person-centered approach, supporting young people on and off the pitch, and equipping those closest to them with the knowledge and skills needed to navigate the academy journey.

Whether you are a parent, guardian, player, club or intermediary, please get in touch.

Knowing WHEN and HOW to choose a registered intermediary can be daunting. We can provide you with all the necessary information you need to make those decisions.

For better or worse, so many of us now use social media platforms for personal and professional use. We work with experts to help ensure you know how to harness the power of social media for the good!

Good financial habits and decisions need to be made as early on as possible. as reportedly at least 40% of footballers are bankrupt at the end of their career.

We put young people’s welfare at the heart of what we do. Our goal is to be proactive and not reactive when it comes to young people’s mental health and wellbeing by signposting to credible and vetted professionals.
